1. Your Images Stay in Your Browser

IslandKit processes all images entirely in your browser. When you upload an image to our Pixel Art Maker, it is never sent to our servers. The pixelation, color mapping, and grid generation all happen locally using JavaScript. No image data is transmitted, stored, or shared with anyone.

2. Local Storage Data

IslandKit stores some data in your browser's localStorage to preserve your preferences between visits. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers. Specifically, we store:

• Mii names — names you enter to identify your Miis in the Food Tracker
• Food ratings— your per-Mii food preference ratings (e.g. “Loves More Than Anything Else”, “Worst Ever”)
• Building progress — which buildings you have marked as unlocked

To delete this data at any time, clear your browser data for islandkit.org (or delete the keys starting with islandkit_ in localStorage). We do not have access to this data and cannot delete it on your behalf.

3. What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or process:

• Personal information (name, email, phone)
• Uploaded images or pixel art data
• Browser cookies for tracking
• IP addresses for advertising
• User accounts or authentication data

4. Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as page view counts) to understand how our tool is used. These analytics do not track individual users or collect personal data.

5. Third-Party Services

Our site is hosted on a third-party platform. The hosting provider may collect standard server logs (page requests, timestamps) as required for service operation. We do not control this data and cannot access individual user information from it.

6. Children's Privacy

Tomodachi Life is a game enjoyed by players of all ages. Our tool does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since we do not collect personal data at all, this policy inherently protects all users regardless of age.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Because all user data is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage, there is no server-side data to retain or delete. Clearing your browser data for islandkit.org permanently removes all stored information. We have no ability to recover it once deleted.
