1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using IslandKit (islandkit.org), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use this website.

2. Description of Service

IslandKit is a free, fan-made companion tool for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream (Nintendo Switch). It provides:

• A food preference tracker to record each Mii's food ratings
• A pixel art maker that converts images to in-game palette colors
• A building unlock progress tracker
• Game guides and tips

The service is provided “as is” and may be modified or discontinued at any time without notice.

3. No Account Required

IslandKit does not require user registration or accounts. All preference data (Mii names, food ratings, building progress) is stored locally in your browser. We do not maintain any server-side user data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

4. Intellectual Property

Nintendo Ownership: Tomodachi Life, Living the Dream, and all related characters, game content, and trademarks are the property of Nintendo. IslandKit is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Nintendo in any way.

Site Content: Original content, code, and design of IslandKit are the property of the IslandKit team. Game palette color data (84 hex values) is numerical factual data and not subject to copyright protection.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you create using IslandKit (pixel art designs, food ratings, etc.). Since all data is stored in your browser and images are processed locally, we never have access to your creative work.

You are responsible for ensuring that any images you upload to the Pixel Art Maker do not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or infrastructure
• Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download content from the site
• Misrepresent the source of content generated by this tool
• Use the service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

IslandKit is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding:

• The accuracy of food data, ratings, or game information
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• That the service will meet your specific requirements or expectations
• That any defects will be corrected in a timely manner

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the IslandKit team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data stored in your browser's localStorage.

9. Data Loss

All user data is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This data can be lost if you clear your browser data, use a different browser or device, or switch to private/incognito mode. We strongly recommend keeping a separate record of important game progress. We are not responsible for any data loss.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
